About Film / Concept
According to The Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD), Nigeria recorded over 109 deaths related to the ongoing 2023 elections.
The film contrasts the actual state of democracy in Nigeria, as captured by citizens' journalistic images during the electoral process, with the diplomatic rhetoric conveyed by Western media.
Animation Technique : Hand Painted on Cel
Working with a team of 4 painters, including myself, each frame was individually hand-painted with acrylic paint on cel sheets.
